5 tips in using the library

The Dominican Learning Resource Center is an academic library that caters the research needs of SDCA academic community. We are dedicated to support quality education, training, research and community service of the St. Dominic College of Asia.
Here are the 5 TIPS for using the library.
1. REGISTER
The DLRC is automated by myRDA+ library system. Every bona fide students of St. Dominic College of Asia, Faculty and Staff, are required to sign a form that is available at the circulation desk. The circulation librarian or any of the library staff that at the front desk will register the names on the library system once the form was signed. All students, faculty and staff that completed the form will be given the privilege to use the library services untimely.
2. CHECK-OUT
Looking for something? You might need to look on the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) Once you already found the library material you need, go to the circulation desk and ask for a loan. The library staff will give a student three (3) days for a maximum of two (2) book loans; faculty can loan a maximum of five (5) books for two (2) weeks. Failure to return the library material at the declared due date will give you a fine of ten (10) pesos for per book materials for students and five (5) pesos per book for faculty. 3. ASK
Don’t get stuck! If you need help, ask a librarian at our circulation desk. Did you know that there’s also a librarian for every school? Learn who are your librarians are and don’t hesitate to approach them.
4. CONNECT
Can’t go to school to check the available book? Ask DORA! DORA is an online reference assistant that can help you find and access the right information for your research. DORA is accessible via facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ or search Dominican Online Reference Assistant (DORA).
